This month, we had the chance to try the Wilton Versa-Tools from Doric Cake Crafts. Versa-Tools are a great way to reduce clutter and clean-up! These multifunctional tools can each perform several functions for baking and cooking, giving you the ability to do more with less! To test the tools, we decided to make a two-layer chocolate fudge cake.
To begin, we took out the Measure and Pour Mixing Bowl and added the dry ingredients. We really liked the measuring spout feature; there’s no need to use additional measuring spoons for small amounts of liquids, just simply pour into the spout to
measure, and release directly into the bowl! The bowl also features a silicone base, which helped keep the bowl sturdy on the counter.
The Measure and Mix Spoon was great for adding wet ingredients as we were able to measure liquid directly in the spoon using the guides. If making cupcakes, it’d be excellent for adding exact amounts of batter to baking cases!
Mixing everything together was easy using the Mix and Mash Spatula. We combined ingredients whilst scraping down the bowl at the same time. No need for any additional spatulas!
After our cake layers had baked and had time to cool, we scooped up our frosting using the Spread and Scoop Spoonula. This strong and sturdy tool can hold the weight of heavy fillings, giving you the ability to add more at once and begin spreading just that little bit quicker.
We carefully lifted the second layer of cake using the Scoop and Chop Baker’s Blade. Like the others, this
tool is incredibly versatile! You can measure, pour, scoop, chop, and lift with this durable easy-to-use blade.
To complete the cake, we took one of the spatulas from the Scrape and Measure Spatula Set and began adding more frosting around the sides, finishing with a rustic swirl. Overall, we were very happy with the Wilton Versa-Tools. They’re incredibly strong, high quality, each have their own multi-use features, and are ideal for both cooking and baking!
