This month, we had the chance to try OUTboss from the Christmas range at SweetStamp!
It’s never been easier to create quick and beautifully effective toppers for cupcakes and cookies! OUTboss enables you to add raised designs with a simple press over sugarpaste, modelling chocolate or gum paste!
We decided to test all three designs for a small collection of Christmas cookies. We were instantly impressed with the quality; each OUTboss is made from incredibly strong and high-quality food grade plastic. This is sure to be a product that could last a lifetime!
We began rolling out sugarpaste to around 3mm thick on a non-stick mat. Taking the OUTboss, we placed on top of the paste and began pressing using a rolling pin. You can also use a SweetStamp PickUpPad or just simply press with your hands. As OUTboss products are designed to fit the average cookie and cake topper, we were certain they could be cut to sit in ideal proportion to our cookies!
When removing the OUTboss from the paste, we were amazed with how well-defined the wording was! Each letter and added detail stood out and had a lovely clean edge!
Next, we cut the paste to size using a round cutter and applied to the cookie using melted chocolate. You can use royal icing or piping gel if preferred.
Repeating with the other two OUTboss designs, we added to the cookies and set aside for a moment whilst we prepared edible paints. At this point, you can leave the cookies as they are or go on to decorate any way you like!
For the green and red cookies, we painted the wording using edible gold paint. As each letter is so clearly defined and raised, we were able to decorate quickly and easily using a thin paintbrush. For the snow globe OUTboss design, we decided to decorate using a watercolour style with winter shades and lustres. All designs were completed in no time at all and looked extremely professional!
Overall, we could not be more impressed with OUTboss from SweetStamp. They are a perfect way to add effective, on-trend and professional designs to cookies, cupcakes and cake toppers! We even believe these could be incorporated into larger cakes as smaller elements for added effect. They are just simply amazing to work with, quick and easy to use, made to last a lifetime, available in many alternative designs and create incredible results in no time at all! Very highly recommended!
