This month we had the chance to try some new Stunning Sprinkle mixes from Cake Décor!
To test each mix, we decided to make a small collection of 4 party style cupcakes.
We really liked how the colour and style of each sprinkle mix matched their theme perfectly! The shapes were clearly defined, beautifully vibrant and ideal for many styles of decorating on cakes, cupcakes, cookies and cake pops!
The Fairy Floss Sprinkles contains a mixture of beautiful lustre coated chocolate pearls, mini white sugar pearls, pink confetti with blue and pink sugar strands.
The Fairytale Love Sprinkles contain a mixture of silver coated chocolate pearls, tiny silver and pearl sugar dragees, pearl lustred sugar hearts with white sugar strands. A perfect combination for wedding themed designs!
The Mystical Magic Sprinkles contain a mixture of blue lustre coated chocolate pearls, metallic blue rods, blue, pink and white sugar stars, purple sugar pearls with pink and white sugar strands.
The Gatsby Party Sprinkles contain a mixture of beautiful light gold lustre coated chocolate pearls, metallic gold rods, black sugar pearls and mini gold pearls. A perfect combination for Gatsby and art deco themed parties or for any creation which needs a touch of added glamour!
For an additional decoration to each cupcake, we decided to make a large sugar pearl from marshmallow fondant, but you could also use modelling chocolate, or dust a truffle centre chocolate if preferred. We took out our cupcakes and added a swirl of buttercream, carefully transferring each pearl to sit off centre to each cake.
As we began adding sprinkles to each cupcake, we couldn’t help but notice how vibrant each colour was against the buttercream! Just imagine how they could look against different colours; the possibilities are endless! So many ideas go through your head when working with these sprinkles, they spark so much inspiration!
Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the Stunning Sprinkles from Cake Décor. They instantly transform the look of your bakes, help achieve professional standard designs, are incredibly versatile, beautifully vibrant, have clearly defined shapes and are incredibly easy to use! – Highly recommended!
